Mont Marie
On the banks of the Blaauwklippen River lies Mont Marie – experience spectacular Stellenbosch charm with a casual taste of luxury.
Make yourself at home on their rustic wooden deck with a glass of wine and watch the warm Stellies sun set over the tranquil dam… what a way to end the day! Enjoy a selection of quality local wines from neighbouring wineland brands Klein DasBosch & Vriesenhof, alongside their mouth-watering authentic South African dishes set by Owner and Chef Pieter Vlok.
With multiple aesthetic wooden jungle gyms for tots to clamber on, adorable free-roaming ducks, delectable food & wine, and an overall exquisite setting, this wine farm quickly became and continues to be a family favourite!
Peter Falke
Savour serene sundowners surrounded by magenta bougainvillea, softly scented roses & calming wild lavender on a soft bean bag with stunning views of the vineyards and the Old Cape Dutch homestead.
Choose from 2 tasting options - the PF Collection (featuring relaxed, stylish wines for sociable situations) or the Signature Collection for the wine connoisseurs (wines with personality and finesse).
Peruse Peter Falke's menu for some funky, fresh dishes from a variety of awesome salads to finger-licking nachos, a DIY cheese platter and amazing kiddies ice creams!
One of our favourite family-friendly wineries in Stellies! With an awesome sandpit for the tots & spacious gardens to play ball, delectable dishes for all palates, comfy bean bags and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, it's also one of our tots' favourite wineries!
Eikendal
Another one of our all-time favourites! Situated in the Golden Triangle of wine growing, this wonderful family-friendly farm grows a variety of classic wine varietals to create the perfect combination of Bordeaux, Rhone & Burgundian varietals.
Wine tasting options include the classic tasting @R60pp (5 wines) or the express tasting @R40pp (3 wines). A must-try is their cheesecake & wine pairing @R150pp!
Kiddies' tastings are also available @R75pp - tots can decorate their own cookies in this awesome interactive milk & cookie pairing.
The farm also boasts a phenomenal Italian restaurant - Cucina Di Giovanni - one of the most popular eateries in the Helderberg region, with scrumptious pizzas and pastas.
Make a day of it with your tots! Enjoy a free tractor ride on weekends (September - April), play ball with your little ones along the massive dam, or watch them clamber about the kiddie's jungle gym while sipping a glass of Charisma or Cabernet watching the sunset on the horizon...
Longridge
A favourite for a relaxed, scenic sunset with views over False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Sip on some MCC or a G&T on the soft green lawn and watch the sun set behind Table Mountain... Truly magnificent!
Longridge focuses on Chardonnay & Chenin Blanc as well as the Classic reds. Choose from their 3 wine collections - Longridge Biodynamic Wines, Jasper Raats Wines & Konkelberg Lifestyle Wines - each with their own unique styles, but all organic.
Longridge's restaurant offers a range of unique dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner, using free-range, organic produce sourced daily from their own garden & local vendors using a farm-to-table philosophy. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

Spier
A local favourite, Spier, is located beside the Eerste River with views out to the Helderberg mountains. With so much to offer, we suggest you make a full day of it!
Enjoy a delicious, farm-inspired picnic (@R345pp/R160 per tot under 12) with family or friends alongside the twinkling dam or under the cool shady oaks, the choice is yours (vegetarian & vegan options available).
Spier offers a variety of wine-related activities, including wine blending (@R300pp try your hand at winemaking with this immersive experience of wine blending basics), chocolate & wine pairing (@R95pp inspired by their Cap Classique & Creative Block blends; carefully crafted chocolates paired with assorted wines), Winemaker Selection tasting (@R110pp experience their 21 Gables & Creative Block ranges, as well as Spier First Stone, an organic red blend), Spier tasting (@R85pp any 3 wines from the Signature range & 1 from each of the 3 premium ranges), as well as a kiddies’ grape juice tasting @R50pp, the ideal way to keep the youngsters busy both physically & mentally with an educational activity sheet highlighting the role insects play in the biodynamic vineyards!
A must-visit is the Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery, serving lovely free-range, slow-cooked smoked meats from Spier’s eco-friendly farm out on the lawn where the kids can run wild, as well as explore the little garden created for them on the other side.
Recreational activities @Spier: visit their food garden, experience the Cape Winelands on a Segway, stay informed with their Eagle Encounters raptor rehabilitation project, celebrate arts & crafts with the Spier Art Collection and vibrant craft market supporting local artisans & artists, or get in tune with the Earth at the Spier Elemental Play Garden, with a splash quadrant perfect for hot summer days!
Le Pommier
Situated just outside of Stellies on the Helshoogte Pass, Le Pommier is a lovely family-friendly winery serving traditional Cape cuisine & a rustic a la carte menu.
Perfect for a quick bite at the end of a long tour day!
Le Pommier offers a variety of tasting and pairing options - taste 3 wines @R40pp or 5 wines @R75pp; and for the wine connoisseurs, a vertical cab franc tasting @R125pp. Indulge in their Pizza & Wine pairing @R95pp (3 pizzas paired perfectly with 3 wines) or their SA Food & Wine pairing @R95pp featuring chicken pie, bobotie & beef oxtail pate... Yum!
Treat your tots to their very own kiddies pairing @R75pp - choose between a juice & pizza pairing or a flavoured milk & sweet surprise pairing.
Skilpadvlei
Rolling views of the Stellenbosch Hills, homely countryside accommodation, and a relaxed farm-style restaurant... Add Skilpadvlei to your list of wineries to visit!
They have 4 tasting options: Standard tasting @R40pp (4 easy-drinking wines), a non-alcoholic option @R80pp. wine & cheesecake pairing @R100pp, and one for the tots - a kiddies sweetie tasting @R55pp.
Come hungry - their restaurant serves breakfast, lunch & dinner with specialties like traditional lamb curry & flame-grilled pork ribs or contemporary classics like steaks, woodfired pizzas & burgers. They also offer kid-friendly meals so be sure to bring your tots along.
